Complaints and concerns

Where your complaint should go depends on what it is about, and for professional conduct it is not us.

About this site or its tools

Write to info@ahilife.ca. Tell us what you were doing, what happened, and what you expected instead. A person answers, and if we got something wrong we say so and fix it.

About the conduct of a licensed immigration consultant

Regulated immigration consultants (RCIC and RCIC-IRB) are licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Complaints about a consultant's conduct go to the College, which can investigate and discipline. They do not go to us, and we cannot act on them.

About a lawyer or a Quebec notary

Lawyers are regulated by the law society of the province where they are licensed, and Quebec notaries by the Chambre des notaires du Quebec. Complaints go to that regulator.

What we are not

We are not a regulator and we do not adjudicate disputes. A listing on our roster is not an endorsement, and it says only that we matched a licence against the public register on a date. You can verify any licensee yourself at the CICC Public Register.

What we do with what you send

We keep a complaint only for as long as it takes to deal with it, and we use it for nothing else. See how this site handles your information.
