Accessibility

These tools are for people making hard decisions, often in a second language and often on a borrowed phone. If a page is hard to use, that is a defect.

What we aim at

We build towards WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have not had an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim conformance: we would rather tell you what we actually check than display a badge we have not earned.

What we check on every release

An automated sweep runs before anything ships, and a release does not go out while it fails. It checks:

Beyond that, pages are plain HTML with system fonts, they follow your device's light or dark setting, and they are built to work with a keyboard.

Where we know we are weakest

The record and map views are dense by nature, and long result lists can be tiring to move through with a screen reader. We know it, and we are working on it.

Tell us

Write to info@ahilife.ca with the page and what went wrong, including the device or assistive technology if you can. We treat it as a bug to fix, not a favour to consider.
